Dr. Mintoo Basahti

Dr. Mintoo Basahti is a general dentist with over 30 years of private practise experience.  He had extensive early involvement at the Board level with volunteer and non-profit organizations. Most often in finance and governance roles.

His involvement with organized dentistry began with the Edmonton and District Dental Society on the Board of Directors as well as Treasurer and President.

He has served, and continues to serve, in many roles with the Alberta Dental Association & College which has now transitioned to the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta.  Positions such as; Chair of the Competence Committee, member of the Executive, Chair of Audit, Chair of Governance & HR, Chair Hearing Appeal Panel.  Dr. Basahti is also a two time President of the ADA&C, having just completed his second term.  Recently he Chaired the Task Force that led the process of the ADA&C divesting itself of associations function to become the CDSA with a single mandate of public protection. He is currently the Alberta representative to the National Dental Examination Board.
